Little Miss and Mister Pageant

Mercer County Fair Pageant Requirements

  1. All applicants must be a resident of Mercer County. Proof of residency will be required.
  2. Contestant must be single, never married, never had a marriage annulled and never had a child.
  3. Contestants must have a sponsor and sponsorship fee of $100.00. Pre-teen sponsorship fee is $75.00.
  4. Miss contestants must have reached their 16th birthday by October 31st and shall not have reached her 22nd birthday by October 31st of the year of the local pageant.
  5. Teen contestants must have reached her 13th birthday by October 31st and shall not have reached her 16th birthday by October 31st of the year of the local pageant.
  6. Pre-Teen contestants must have reached her 8th birthday by July 1st and shall not have reached her 13th birthday by October 31st of the year of the local pageant.
  7. Identification with date of birth and address should be submitted with each application, i.e. drivers license or birth certificate.
  8. 5. Miss contestants will compete in interview, formal wear and swimsuit. Teen and Pre-Teen will compete in interview, formal wear and sportswear.
  9. 6. Contestants must be able to meet all requirements for each area of the competition.
  10. 7. Contestants must be polite and courteous to all other contestants, directors, coordinator and assistants. Anyone who violates the rules will be disqualified.
  11. 8. Contestants must have a clean police record.
  12. 9. Any applicant that has won another county fair pageant in the current pageant year prior to the Mercer County pageant will not be eligible to compete. If this occurs, refunds of sponsorship fees will only be made through the entry deadline date.
  13. 10. Entry forms must be completed, printed, and mailed by June 18th, and MUST be mailed to Mercer Pageants (please note the appropriate pageant on the envelope i.e. Miss, Teen or Pre-Teen) at PO Box 735 Harrodsburg KY 40330. When you mail your application, the envelope must be postmarked by June 18th. Preteen, Teen, and Miss applications will be accepted until the maximum number of contestants has been met.
  14. 11. Please complete and proofread your applications before mailing. The judges will be reviewing your application prior to and during the competition.
  15. 12. Miss winners will be required to meet with directors periodically to prepare for and compete in the Kentucky State Pageant in January. Teen and Pre-Teen winners will be required to compete in the Kentucky State Pageant in October.
  16. 13. The Pageant Committee will review all applications, and all decisions by the Pageant Committee regarding contestant applications will be final. Submitting an application to a Mercer County Fair Pageant constitutes your agreement to be bound by the rulings of the Mercer County Fair Pageant Committee.
